Yesterday, April 1st, we celebrated Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, and we couldn’t let it pass without recognizing the incredible paraprofessionals at Grangerland! 💙
We are truly lucky to have some of the very best in CISD supporting our students and staff every single day. Your dedication, patience, and heart do not go unnoticed!
A big thank you to our leadership team and Communities In Schools for partnering together to treat our amazing paraprofessionals to breakfast, flowers, and a small token of appreciation. 🌸
Grangerland is better because of you—thank you for all that you do! 👏

This past Saturday, we welcomed nearly 100 students for ELA Saturday School! 📚✨
These hardworking students spent time sharpening their ELA skills and getting ready to shine on the STAAR test next month. We are so proud of their dedication and effort! 💪
To make the day even more exciting, students had the chance to win prizes and candy for their participation—such a fun way to celebrate their hard work! 🍬🎉
A special thank you to Another Broken Egg Cafe for providing our staff with a delicious breakfast—we appreciate your support! 🥞💛

Before Spring Break, our 6th grade math students had something BIG to celebrate! 🎉
Students who showed growth on their Quarterly Assessment earned the chance to SLIME a staff member—and they did not hold back! 💚
We are so proud of their hard work, determination, and progress. What a fun (and messy!) way to celebrate success! 🧮👏

Panther Palooza was bigger and better than ever this nine weeks—because we added INFLATABLES! 🎉
These awesome inflatables were a special reward for our students thanks to the amazing fundraising efforts this fall. Because of your support, we were able to celebrate our Panthers in a big way! 🐾
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible! ❤️

Last Thursday, Author Alda P. Dobbs visited Grangerland and did a Spanish presentation to a couple of the 5th grade bi-lingual classes. Ms. Dobbs talked about the inspiration for her book, Barefoot Dreams of Petra Luna. She also taught the students about recording personal and family stories as well as the importance of reading and writing.
