We have been measuring.  We are measuring length and time.  Those analog clocks can be tricky, so it's great if you are practicing at home.  Soon once again we will be revisiting addition and subtraction in the form of problem solving.  A great way to review is to use the vocabulary flashcards from pearson.  If you have misplaced them, all the pages from the math book are available on the pearsonrealize.com website.
Reading and Writing

We are working on blends.  We are covering sounds like bl, st, sh, th, and wh.  We are also working on when to use capital letters and periods to show the beginning and end of complete sentences.  The kids are adding details to their writing and practicing sounding out the words they do not already know how to spell.

We are talking about the seasons summer, fall (or autumn), winter, and spring.
Social Studies

We are studying many inventors like Thomas Edison and Garrett Morgan.

Upcoming Events
Library day is Thursday.

When an outline is sent home, the children will be expected to read 10 minutes every night.  It will also include additional optional activities to enrich.  Thanks for your helping your child with this at home.
